The current policy is to offer the sacrament of Baptism to any family living in the Parish. If you are considering Baptism the following link may be helpful, although our compulsory Baptism Preparation gives you a good opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Our ministry of Baptism of children (sometimes known as Christening) is overseen by Rev’d Sue Fulford. You can contact her using the form at the bottom of this page.
To help make preparations for the service, Sue will arrange a home visit, where she will agree a suitable date for the service. Our usual practice is to offer a shared service at 1 pm on the 3rd Sunday of the month.
For adults considering Baptism, please contact Sue specifying your details and a member of clergy team will be in touch.
Following Baptism you should consider Confirmation.
The requirements for Confirmation are:-
- Adults: To be regular Church attendees and attend a preparation and study group for four weeks prior to the Confirmation Service.
- Young People: To be in at least school year 7, to attend an appropriate study group regularly and attend a preparation group for four weeks prior to the Confirmation Service.
