What is Alpha?

The Alpha Course started in one church in London and has now been run in 169 different countries. It is estimated that 1.2 Million people in Britain have attended the course.

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions to discuss the Christian faith in an informal, fun and friendly environment. Alpha consists of 10 talks, looking at topics including ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’ using the Alpha Film Series. We share a meal, watch one of the films, and then break into small groups for discussion.

Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for everyone; no question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome.

When is Alpha starting?

Alpha starts with a launch on 17th September at 7:00 pm in church. At the launch you can find out what to expect and decide if the course is right for you.
