On Sunday 17th May we welcomed Bex Turner from Christian Aid to speak at all our morning services. Christian Aid is a Christian organisation that insists the world can and must be swiftly changed to one where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty. For more than 70 years, Christian Aid has fought poverty, strengthened the poor, and turned hope into action.

The prophet Micah reminds us of the ‘good’ that God requires from us—to act justly, to love mercy and walk humbly with Him. In Micah’s day, instead of this goodness, Israel was populated by corruption, ruthlessness and arrogance. Unfortunately this could be a description for many parts of the world today. By supporting Christian Aid we are ensuring urgent, practical and effective assistance is provided where need is great, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.
