From September 9th-14th a team of Korean missionaries will be visiting Wigan. Their mission is simple yet focused: to pray for the strengthening and refreshing of our churches and work in the town. The mission is part of a wider national initiative, whereby hundreds of missionaries from South Korea are visiting 30 locations around the UK . The motivation for the mission is gratitude. Although South Korea has a strong church and is now the world’s second largest sender of missionaries, it still regards the UK as its mother church. Therefore, the prayer missionaries are coming not with the intention of parachuting in ministry or to teach us, but humbly to bless us and support our activities in prayer.
Key dates during the mission not to miss include:
Tuesday 9th September at 8 pm – Launch Night at Billinge Family Church
Saturday 13th September at 7.30 pm – Celebration Evening at St. Paul’s Goose Green
Sunday 14th September at 6.30 pm – Small Groups in church with the mission team (bring & share supper before at 5.30 pm)
