We had an amazing Parish Weekend at Abbot Hall near Grange-over-Sands. The theme was ‘Gathering, Growing and Going’, referencing the book of Ephesians. Will’s talks were both scholarly and entertaining, Anna’s talk during the Communion service was very entertaining, especially where she tucked her radio mic pack! They left us wanting more and we’re looking forward to more of the same in the future. Congratulations to Sue and Mike for the games on Saturday night, who’d have thought you could have so much fun with a cut down Cornflake packet. Thanks also to Beth and her helpers for the children’s work, “the band” (whohh, whohh, whohh whohh, whohh, whohh), Peter for all his organising of this and the previous Parish Weekends and finally to Dave Ashcroft who has agreed to take them on in the future.
